Hey, Howdy Hey, Erica!
Welcome to the planDisney Roundup, it’s so nice to have you visiting us today. As a military spouse myself, let me begin with a huge thank you from my military family to yours.”Thank You!”
Walt Disney World has some incredible offers for service members and their families this year. My family has our eyes on the
Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket in hopes of visiting a few times this upcoming year. Fingers crossed we can get our schedules aligned to make even more visits possible. When it comes to staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel, my family bounces between the military offer, and other
Special Offers available online. Depending on the time of year, and length of visit, we sometimes opt out of the military offer and go with the Disney offer. So I am more than happy to share my experience with both.
When it comes to using the
military offer, I have found that you will be asked for a deposit for your resort room when booking. After that, your remaining balance can be paid, at your choosing. The only requirement is that your balance is to be paid off 30 days before your arrival, subject to change. When booking a room-only reservation online without a military rate, you will also first book with a deposit only. After that deposit, the remaining balance is due upon arrival, at check-in to your hotel.
In the months and weeks leading up to our visit, I usually make payments towards our remaining balance
over the phone. The dollar amount and frequency is completely up to you. Just keep that final payment date in mind. If you happen to have forgotten that date, you can ask when you call! You can also find the remaining balance due date towards the end of your email confirmation you received after booking your resort room.
Erica, I hope this has helped answer your question so that you can get back to planning for this magical visit. If there’s anything else we can help with please let us know!
Thank you again for your family and their service,
Shantel
