When will booking start for trip planning in May 2026?

Hey there, Traci, and welcome to planDisney! I hope you're having a wonderful day. It looks like you're getting ready to start planning your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth, my favorite part of any trip! I love putting together all the little details that make for an unforgettable experience.

When booking my Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, I like to get started as early as possible. Great news! Vacation packages are already available to book for May 2026! I suggest logging into your My Disney Experience account, hovering over “Places to Stay,” and clicking “View Special Offers.” That's where you'll see all the amazing deals for your upcoming stay. This summer, there are some incredible offers for Guests. One to look for: “Get 2 Free Nights and Theme Park Days Added When You Purchase a Select Room-and-Ticket Package.” Two free nights added to your stay sounds like pure pixie dust to me! I highly recommend reviewing all the current offers. It's always nice to save some money while enjoying your trip.

Next, check out the list of Disney Resort hotels and make a short list of the ones you'd love to stay at. With popular offers, some Disney Resort hotels can sell out quickly, so it's good to have a backup plan ready.

There are so many other wonderful offerings, like the Disney Dining Plan, which offers an all-inclusive dining experience. Both dining options are fantastic! Once you've selected your details, you'll be directed to a final screen where you can secure your booking with a deposit. I absolutely love that you don't have to pay the full amount up front; it's so convenient to spread your payments out. When your booking is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email with your confirmation number. I recommend keeping an eye on those special offers even after booking; new deals can pop up, and it's easy to call Disney and adjust your reservation if you find a better offer.

Traci, I hope this has helped, and more than anything, if you have more questions, it would be our honor to help you along the way.

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
