I have a booking for September 2024 and have so far only paid the deposit - if I were to cancel, would this cost me anything?

    Hello there, Beverley!

Like Disney’s Mary Poppins, I find that in every Walt Disney World Resort vacation plan that must be made, there is an element of fun. Actually, I find the vacation planning process is when the fun begins, and luckily, you have plenty of time to get all of the details prepared.

Beverley, I’m happy to share that you can cancel or modify the package up to 30 days prior to your visit to get your deposit refunded. This is very convenient if you decide to extend your stay or stay at a different Resort hotel. The Walt Disney World Resort website recommends that you contact the Walt Disney Travel Company UK for information relating to the cancellation and change policies that apply to your package. I recommend doing this early on to make sure that you have the latest information.

If you ever have a tough time deciding which Resort hotel you want to stay at, I recommend thinking about a split stay, where you stay at different Resort hotels during your vacation. The Walt Disney World Resort makes split stays incredibly convenient by offering luggage transfer service. This way, you can go to the theme parks during the day and find your bags waiting for you at Bell Services at your next Resort hotel.

Please feel free to come back and ask us any other vacation planning questions. We love coming up with vacation itineraries and giving dining tips, too. You never know what we’ll pull out of our bag of tricks.

May the magic be with you!

    Melanie
