    When booking a return flight after a cruise out of Port Canaveral how much time do we need to allow for the transfer back to the airport?

    Ahoy Ashley! Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad that you dropped by before your cruise!

    I'm a big fan of utilizing Disney Cruise Line's optional ground transfers for transportation to and from the airport (or a Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel!) before and after my cruises out of Port Canaveral. I love the ease and peace of mind this option offers. Your bus will be waiting for you just steps away from the ship when you have to say goodbye. It's nice to have one last bit of magic as you depart from a vacation as DREAMy as the one you have planned! 

    When you book ground transfers from your Disney Cruise ship to the Orlando International Airport, it is recommended that your departing flight is no earlier than 11:25 a.m. on your debarkation day. This allows for time needed for the debarkation process (a time that varies depending on circumstances) and the approximately hour long drive from the port to the airport.
