I am booking a reservation, with my points, for a family friend. How can they access the reservation and purchase Disney passes, without logging into my account?

    Hi Andrea!

Welcome to planDisney!  Are you training to be a Fairy Godmother? How cool that you're waving your magic wand and sharing the gift of Disney Vacation Club with your friend!  Along with fantastic accommodations, they'll be able to take advantage of all the great features and "extras" that come with a Disney Vacation Club Resort stay.  Let me share a few details to make sure you (and your friends) have everything they need for a most magical vacation.

Here's the great news –– to access their reservation details, all your friends will need is a My Disney Experience account and the My Disney Experience mobile app.  After you've booked the reservation using your Vacation Points on the Disney Vacation Club website, you'll just need to share the Reservation Number (which you can find by clicking on the reservation in your Member Dashboard).  With that in hand, your friend can open up the My Disney Experience app and tap "Future Plans" in the main menu.  From there, scroll till you see "Missing a reservation?" and click the "Link to Account" button. Tap "Type ID" and then enter the DVC Reservation number as the Resort Reservation Confirmation Number and last name on the reservation.  And that's it!  Your friend will be able to access the reservation from their own My Disney Experience account, purchase tickets, choose a new MagicBand+, and more. Just keep in mind that if you need to make any changes to the reservation (like adding a Guest or modifying the dates), you'll need to do that from the DVC website with your own account or by reaching out to Member Services.

One more cool thing to share with your friend is that if they'll be driving or renting a vehicle during their stay, they'll find a little extra pixie dust when they arrive at the Resort.  As a Guest of a DVC Member staying on Vacation Points at a DVC Resort, they'll be able to take advantage of the complimentary overnight self-parking benefit for Members at the Resort, which also includes complimentary parking at Walt Disney World theme parks. That way, they can save a little cash and add it to their DOLE Whip fund –– talk about magic, right?

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Andrea.  If you (or your friend) think of anything new as you plan this upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit, please don't hesitate to drop by again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
