Hi there, Josue! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney with your most excellent question--I'm happy to help add some extra pixie dust to your family member's upcoming vacation.
There are so many great benefits to
Disney Vacation Club membership, and one of my favorites is being able to use my
Vacation Points for friends and family to experience the wonderful accommodations that the DVC resorts offer. I just booked a room for one of my planDisney besties for a reunion this fall using my points, and I'm so glad we'll all be able to stay near each other for extra quality time.
Your family member will be able to enjoy all of the benefits of any Guest staying in a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, including purchasing a
Disney dining plan and getting a head start on their park days with
Early Theme Park Entry. Their first step once you make the booking should be to link the reservation in their
My Disney Experience account. Once that's linked, they can go to the "MagicBands and Cards" section and select a MagicBand. Keep in mind that these are no longer complimentary for Guests, and the price varies depending on which style they choose.
Because your relative is not a DVC Member, they will not have access to your
Member Benefits, which include discounts on dining, shopping, and some tickets and tours. These all require a Member to be present and show a valid membership card. They also won't be able to enter the
Member Lounge at EPCOT unless you are traveling with them--Members may bring up to 4 guests into the lounge, or the number of guests on their resort reservation, whichever is greater.
Josue, I hope this information is just what you need to make some magic for your family member. It's so thoughtful of you to share your Membership and I am sure they will appreciate it tremendously! Thanks again for visiting planDisney and please
reach out anytime if I can help with additional questions about all things DVC or Walt Disney World Resort.
Stay Magical!
Susan
