Caryn from GA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hello! We are booking a reservation at a Disney hotel. We already have park tickets with fast passes for our dates. Can we link our existing park tickets to the hotel reservation without losing fast pass selections so we can use extra magic hours?

    Hiya Caryn!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you've stopped by.

One of my very favorite things about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is our stays at the Disney Resort hotels. All the Disney Resort hotels have so much to offer, and even when you leave the Parks to come back to the resorts, you're never leaving the magic.

Congratulations on cutting your wait time by making your FastPass+ selections! You can most definitely link your existing Park tickets to the hotel reservation without losing your FastPass+ selections. The Theme Park tickets will actually just stay linked to your My Disney Experience account as they currently are, and the FastPass+ plans will also stay in place.

If you book your stay through the Walt Disney World Resort website, that stay will link automatically. The complimentary MagicBands that you receive as part of your Resort hotel stay will work with the Theme Park tickets and FastPass+ selections you already have.

If you book your stay by calling in or by booking through an outside source, like a third-party or a travel agency, you will need to link your stay on the My Plans page of your My Disney Experience account with the reservation number you are given.

Either way, your tickets and FastPass+ selections will work with your new Resort hotel reservation and you will be able to enjoy the awesome Extra Magic Hours!

You're almost all set for your magical vacation after linking the Resort hotel. Another must-do for my family is making those advance dining reservations! We love to eat together and the food at Walt Disney World Resort is delicious! "Don't believe me? Ask the dishes!"

    Have a magical vacation, Caryn!
