I am booking my own flights. What is the earliest I should book a return flight from MCO if the cruise ship (Magic) gets into Port Canaveral at 7:30am and I am using Disney transportation

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Becky!

Sounds like your plans are shaping up and you're putting all the pieces together for an awesome family vacation! You are surely doing a wonderful job -- no one else but you, can plan a truly magical vacation for your family. You and your buccaneers will have a splashtacular time on the Disney Cruise -- there's no doubt about it.

Disembarkation day is still a day to enjoy while on board the ship. I know it'll be a bit sad for everyone... it's always difficult to leave your ''home" on the high seas. As you get yourselves ready to go that morning, try to make sure that you still enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the main restaurant that you are assigned to. This will be the same restaurant that you had dinner at the night before. If you are in the main dining schedule (1st seating), then your breakfast schedule will be at 6:45am. If you were doing late dining, then you can enjoy breakfast at 8am. This is also a good time to say "see 'ya later" to your dining team, who has been rotating with you throughout your voyage. They will surely do whatever it takes to make your dining experiences very pleasant.

A flight from MCO that leaves anytime after 12noon will usually work. The ship gets cleared by US Customs at around 7:30am, so if you are ready at that time, you can start exiting the gangway and go to baggage claim to collect your luggage. The Disney ground transportation motor coaches will be waiting right outside to take you and your family to the MCO airport. They pickup guests and leave continuously throughout the morning. You'll need your Key to the World Card to board the bus, so keep that handy in the morning as well. You'll be directed to the next bus leaving for the airport and you'll be on your way to a 1 hour long ride to MCO. The airport security gates do tend to have a line, so allow sometime to go through that too.

Come back for any other questions, Becky! We're always happy to help.
