Ahoy there, Alexis! Welcome aboard, planDisney!
Having an official Disney cruise reservation number is like holding pixie dust in your hand, because you’re officially one step closer to the magic of your Disney cruise vacation!
I can absolutely help walk you through adding your reservation, as well as show you how to book those exciting Port Adventures.
To start, you should download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. This is basically going to be your Disney Cruise BFF, because you’ll use it a lot, both at home and once on board your cruise. But to start using it, we need to get your reservation housed in there.
To add your reservation in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, tap “Add Reservation”. Then you will enter your reservation number, along with a few security verifiers, such as the last name and birthdate of one Guest in your stateroom (such as your own). Once entered, your reservation should pop up in the app, and right away, you should see an exciting countdown calendar to your cruise! This is always my favorite part, because it's like sprinkling that pixie dust, and now seeing that countdown makes it feel so
real! To make those fun cruise activity reservations, such as
Port Adventures, and other onboard activities, such as
adult dining reservations, you will need to have paid for your cruise in full, and your
booking window should have opened. Your booking window is determined by your
Castaway Club status. Once you’re ready to reserve those exciting activities, open up your reservation in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App and tap “My Plans”. If you toggle through each day of your cruise, you can see the activities that are available for that specific day. If it’s a port day, you can tap “Port Adventures” and the list of available Port Adventures will show up for that port on that day. If you would like to learn more about a Port Adventure, you can also read about it in detail on the Disney Cruise Line website, by finding your arrival port in the Port Adventures section.
I have one more tip from my personal experience and years of booking activities and Port Adventures, and that’s if there’s an activity or Port Adventure you really want to do, go ahead and book it as soon as your booking window opens. Some activities may be super popular, so if there’s one you want to do, it’s better to book it as soon as you can! If one isn't available while you're at home, never fear, because all is definitely not lost. Once on board your cruise, head to the department you're reserving for (Guest Services, Port Adventures, adult restaurants, etc.), and they can assist with trying to book you the reservation on board.
Alexis, I hope you found this helpful and put you one step closer to the fun adventures you’re SEAking! I wish you many exciting memories ahead! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Bon Voyage,
Rana
