When booking do we need to also purchse a dining plan even though we will be getting the DD Promo Card?

    Bonjour, Wendy!

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney. We're so glad you've stopped by with your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! I'm excited to hear you're planning to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth in early 2024. There are so many fantastic changes and new offerings coming to the Walt Disney World Resort in the coming year! Now, tie your napkin 'round your neck, cherie, because we're about to discuss dining at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Wendy, it sounds like you've taken advantage of the current Disney Dining Promo Card special offer. This phenomenal deal provides Guests with up to a $1,000 Disney Dining Promo Card when they purchase a non-discounted minimum 4-night Disney Resort hotel stay and 4-day theme park ticket package directly through the Walt Disney Travel Company. Disney Dining Promo Cards can be redeemed for meals and snacks at hundreds of participating locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort! Wendy, the value of the Disney Dining Promo Card you'll receive with your vacation package depends on which Disney Resort hotel you'll be staying at. I recommend making a list of your "must-do" dining experiences and putting together an estimated cost per day. Then, you'll be able to determine whether the value of your Disney Dining Promo Card will be sufficient to cover your dining expenses!

Deciding whether to add a dining plan to your booking is a personal choice, so I encourage you to evaluate your dining aspirations and consider the costs involved. If you're hoping to enjoy several Disney Character Dining or Fine/Signature Dining experiences, you might want to consider adding the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package, Wendy. That way, you could supplement using your Disney Dining Promo Card for expenses beyond (or not covered by) your dining plan, ensuring your group the ability to enjoy all of the fabulous food offerings available.

Wendy, I hope you've found this information helpful as you continue to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation filled with many magical meals! If you have any additional planning questions, feel free to pull up a chair at planDisney again anytime. We love having you be our Guest!

    Bon Appétit,

    Lauren
