Ahoy Anita!
You have heard the call of the wild! So thrilled that you will be cruising to
Alaska with Captain Minnie on the
Disney Wonder. My family and I couldn't wait to set sail on our Alaskan adventure. Between the amazing ports of call and an assortment of
Port Adventures exploring nature and wildlife, it made for one of our best vacations ever!
I am thrilled you have decided on an Oceanview stateroom. The Alaskan itineraries are absolutely a MUST for having outside views from your stateroom. You won’t regret being able to spy glaciers and sea lions floating by on ice from the comforts of your room!
It’s no WONDER that you are curious about which stateroom to book. I’ve stayed on Decks 6 and 8 on the Disney Wonder, but never Decks 2 or 7. I have heard the same as you that Deck 2 is likely to have staterooms that pick up on surrounding noise, partly because they are below some of the restaurants, lounges and nightclubs. Since you are already concerned about noise levels and finding a satisfactory Deck 2 stateroom, I would suggest that you simply go with Deck 7 as it is perfectly positioned with many of the highest reviewed
Disney Wonder staterooms. Research the various staterooms online and review the
Disney Wonder deck plans to verify their locations onboard.
Another option is to bring some noise-cancelling assistance with you. I always travel with a sound machine, so that helps minimize any background noises once we have turned in for the night. I also like to throw in a few pairs of earplugs just in case. I’m especially sensitive to noise since I lost partial hearing in my ear a few years ago, so I can totally relate to why you want to get the stateroom that best meets your family’s needs.
I hope this has you even more excited about booking that sailing to Alaska, Anita! As you make all your onboard plans, cruise back to planDisney with more questions. Wishing you a whale of a time on your WONDERful voyage!
