I will be booking Feb 2012 for Oct 2012 and am going to get dining plan. If I have everything paid off in advance to a *Pixi Dust* free dining period...can I use the credit towards something else, will they leave the credit on my acct or send a refund?

    Hi Katherine!

If you have a vacation package booked, whether or not it is payed off, and if Disney offers Free Dining in the Fall, then you will have to call Disney and ask that your package include the Free Dining Promotion.  It won't happen automatically.  Also, you are only allowed to use one discount code (or be on one promotion) at a time.  So if you book your vacation package at a special rate, then when Free Dining comes out, you'll have to decide between the two.  Also, Disney may charge you a fee for changing your package depending on how close the change is to your vacation!

You will have to keep your eyes and ears open for any promotions in 2012.  Disney won't automatically apply any of them to your vacation.  However, if you use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, then most do look for promotions applicable to your trip.  An Authorized Disney Vacation Planer is a travel agent specializing in trips to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, on board the Disney Cruise Line, and with Adventures by Disney.  Mine has saved me a lot of money over the years.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back soon!
