We are going to be booking for 3 families on 1 trip. Any thing extra each family buys will be their responsibility like food, tips or gifts. Will our "Keys to the Kingdom" keep each families bill separate or will it group them together?

    Hi, Kevin!

Wow! Your trip to Walt Disney World with three families sounds like three times the fun! Have a blast!

We've traveled to Walt Disney World with several families staying together, and we've handled the extra purchases two different ways. If you are all staying in one room, for example in a Grand Villa, then you will have only one reservation number and, as such, one account for charges to your room. If that's the case, then all of the purchases made on all of those Key to the World Cards will tally up to one amount. You do, however, see whose card was used for each purchase, so if you need to keep track of who purchased what, it's complicated, but you can do so.  Another option is to simply allow only one family to have charging privileges, resulting in only that one family being responsible for charges on the account. The other two families can still use a credit card for all additional purchases (we tend to do this anyway, since we get a great discount at many stores by using our Disney Rewards Visa.)

On the other hand, if you are staying in completely separate rooms, you can have the reservations linked to each other (meaning that the Cast Member who will assist you at Check-In knows that you are together and will do his or very best to situate your rooms near each other) which will allow each family to use their KTTWC for separate charging abilities. This is possible if you make three reservations for the three families at the same time. Separate reservation #s, separate rooms, separate charging accounts.

I hope this helps! Please send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
