Ahoy there, Tori! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I'm happy to set sail on a journey to help you track down the information you seek. Let's get right to it!
I am really excited about the new
Disney Cruise Line itineraries to Australia and New Zealand--my husband and I lived in that part of the world for some time and there are so many wonderful things to explore. Speaking of
wonder....let's chat about the evening schedule for your cruise on the
Disney Wonder, one of the first ships in the DCL fleet!
Tori, the second seating for dinner begins between 8 and 8:45 PM, depending on where you are sailing from. The later mealtime allows you to enjoy the first showing of that evening's entertainment, which includes amazing shows including the delightful
Frozen, A Musical Spectacular. Guests with the main seating start dinner between 5:45 and 6:15 PM so they can catch the second performance.
If you have little ones- or are just an early bird like me- I understand that the later dinner time might not be ideal for you. I'm happy to report that you can change to the main seating time (pending availability) via the Disney Cruise Line website. Once you log on, click on the heading for "Already Booked", then select "My Reservations". You can then make the switch to main dining, or join the waitlist. You can also request the change once you're onboard, but since you're still far out from your sailing, I recommend going the online route!
In the event you decide to stick with your later dining time, it's good to know that Guests may order
Room Service 24 hours a day. This means you could enjoy some late-afternoon snacks to tide you over until second seating or pass on the dining room altogether for an in-room feast! Our family always orders cookies and milk to the room at least one night every time we sail.
I hope this information is just what you need for your planning purposes, Tori! If our planDisney crew can help with any other questions in advance of your sailing, please reach out anytime.
Bon Voyage!
Susan
