We are booking a disney vacation for November 2024 with our 2.5 year old. We are trying to decide between Port Orleans Riverside (have stayed here before and loved it) and Pop Century (have not stayed here but like the skyliner) - any recommendations?

    Hi Kaitlyn,

    Welcome to planDisney!

Let the celebration begin for your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World® Resort! The good news is that both of these Disney Resorts Collection hotels are wonderful options. Like you, we love Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. The grounds are gorgeous and so relaxing! We adore the connection to Princess Tiana in the royal guest rooms.

In contrast, Disney's Pop Century Resort feels busier (in my opinion). The rooms at this resort hotel are super cute and, like you, I love having access to the Disney Skyliner. If you are looking for a more laid back vacation vibe, choose Port Orleans - Riverside. If you are more concerned with having the Disney Skyliner as an additional transportation option, choose Pop Century. It is quite lovely to board this highway in the sky after a long day!

I will say that, if you choose Port Orleans - Riverside, be sure to check the bus schedule when you check-in to the resort. There are multiple bus stops at this resort hotel so the rides to and from the theme parks could feel long. Plan accordingly as you think about when to leave the resort hotel to get to the theme parks and when to leave the theme parks to get back to the resort hotel. Also keep in mind that Port Orleans - Riverside has dining options that include a table-service restaurant, Boatwright's Dining Hall. So, if you get back to the resort hotel early, you have an additional option for dinner.

Kaitlyn, I hope this helps! Traveling with a toddler can be challenging, so I just sent a wish to the Evening Star for you! You are visiting during a lovely time of year. Just in case, remember to pack some rain ponchos! Final tip - be sure to check out the details about Tiana's Bayou Adventure. It is the most wonderful experience!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
