I am booking a 10 Day vacation package and staying on site. I will be getting a meal plan but as we are also planning on doing a few days off site i wont need all 10 days. Is it possible to get the meal plan for less time than our scheduled stay?

    Hi, Natalie!

I’m glad to hear you’re planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! I’m also a fan of the Disney Dining Plan because it’s a convenient way to save money while sampling the delicious food the resort restaurants have to offer.

Since Dining Plan credits are allotted based on the number of nights of your hotel stay, you cannot purchase the plan for only a certain portion of your visit. Also, you must purchase the plan for each person staying in your room who is age 3 and older. However, no matter which of the five versions of the Disney Dining Plan you choose, it is flexible and you don’t have to use the same amount of credits each day. You can choose to use fewer (or none) on some days and more on others, perhaps using two table-service credits for a Signature Dining experience or big buffet breakfast on certain days.

I hope this helps, Natalie, and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit to Walt Disney World! Please visit me again if you have any other planning questions.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
