I've booked our 4 year old son on the Pirate Cruise, but my husband has some concerns about sending him off on the cruise without us. Can you tell me more about the safety guidelines that are in place for this so I can sooth his concerns? Thanks! Cate

Hi Cate!  The pirate cruise has been a very popular addition for the young guests of Walt Disney World.  Children as young as four, such as your son, are allowed to participate.  Please be aware your son needs to feel comfortable in leaving you for the 2 hour duration of the activity.

You are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before the cruise departure as all children must be fitted and wear a life preserver through-out the entire time.  For each cruise there will be at least 2 "crew" members attending to the children and they are all CPR trained.

I hope this helps with your decision and if you have further questions feel free to call  407-939-7529 and talk with a cast member directly.
