Hi Melissa,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort is such an elegant resort, and I think that it is even more beautiful when decked out for the winter holidays.
For places to eat, there will be so many choices for you right around the Crescent Lake area as well as in the World Showcase area of Epcot. From Disney's Yacht Club Resort, these are all within walking distance. For casual meals, try Beaches & Cream Soda Shop right next door at Disney's Beach Club Resort, or Big River Grille & Brewing Works around Crescent Lake at Disney's BoardWalk. The World Showcase area of Epcot includes some of my favorite restaurants in Walt Disney World, including Chefs de France. I also very much enjoy Spice Road Table for delicious small Mediterranean plates.
As to the order for visiting the theme parks, I find that to be very specific to each family. I often suggest that you think of the park that your family wants to visit the most and save that for the second or third day of your trip. If you are going to visit a theme park on your arrival day, I suggest that it not be the one that you are the most interested in as you will likely not have a full day in the theme park that day. Also, you should know that many people visit Walt Disney World over the Christmas holiday, so expect large crowds in the theme parks.
Finally, there are so many special events at
Walt Disney World during the winter holidays! Since you are staying so close to Epcot, your family might enjoy the amazing Candlelight Processional there, or hearing stories from holiday storytellers from around the world. Be sure to check out the link that I provided for other activities, and do know that these are subject to change.
Please let us know if you have any further questions, Melissa!
