I booked a 2wk stay at POR via a uk travel agent who requested a royal room or closer room to amenities, as I have difficulty walking far. However, after reading reviews,It appears these rooms cost extra. Will this be considered or will I have to pay extra?

    Hi Michelle,

Walt Disney World (WDW) resorts do provide rooms for guests with disabilities, which includes providing rooms closer to amenities for guests who have difficulty walking distances.

The Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans - Riverside are available for an extra charge because it is a speciality room with advanced theming and special features. However, there are many other rooms at Port Orleans - Riverside that are close to amenities. If you do not want to have a Royal Guest Room, simply ask to have a ground level room in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort, which are available at no extra charge. You can make this notation on your reservation in advance and inform a cast member when you arrive. They will do their best to accommodate your request.

Review the Guests with Disabilities page on the WDW website for more information on accommodations that WDW can provide to make your stay comfortable.
