We have booked the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party for our daughter's 8th bday on 4/18/16. I know it's already a dessert party, but do they do anything special for kids' birthdays? Also, is there time to get to the entrance afterwards for the wa

Hi April! Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is always fun. The Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party is a great way to have a festive party.  Since this is a dessert party with some fabulous sweet offerings I don't suggest you order a special cake. You can do this during another meal perhaps the day before or the day after. They normally will not do anything extra but talk with the cast members when you check in and see if they will come and sing "Happy Birthday" to your daughter.  You can do extra things as well on your own. Pick up the Happy Birthday button at your resort or Guest Relations and have her wear it all day. She will be greeted by many cast members just from wearing the button. I also purchase a Disney birthday hat and have my family member wear it all day. You can't miss that they are celebrating and it just makes the day a bit more fun.

I believe you might have wanted to know about getting to the front of the park to see the Electric Water Pageant right after the fireworks. This is hard to say as the show will be directly in front of the park around 10:20 IF the park has extended hours. Otherwise you will catch it when it is in front of the Grand Floridian and that is about 9:15pm. The firework schedule will answer this question whether you will be able to see it or not. They have built a pass way to avoid the Main Street crowds and it's behind the Plaza Restaurant. This would be very close to the dessert party location. By using this pass it would only take about five minutes to reach the front by walking quickly. Hope I guessed correctly on the second part of question that was cut off.
