Hi Moms, I booked the Wishes dessert party garden viewing on April 16th, how early should I arrive before it starts? Also I will be using a scooter in the parks, is there a place to charge the battery in case it gets too low to make it back to my resort?

    Hi Janice!

It was on my most recent Walt Disney World vacation that I first experienced the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. While I've seen Wishes Nighttime Spectacular numerous times (and loved it more each time!), it was so much fun to be treated like a VIP at a special dessert party with a prime reserved spot to watch the fireworks. What a treat it was!

For the party, you'll want to check in at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant around 75 minutes before Wishes. While at the party, you'll enjoy a delicious array of desserts, as well as fruit, cheese, ice cream and more. Drink selections typically include: Sparkling cider, hot chocolate, lemonade, coffee and tea. As it gets close to showtime, Cast Members will escort party guests across the walkway to the Plaza Garden, which is an AWESOME spot to view the fireworks display. Keep an eye out for Tinkerbell during the show - she'll fly right over your head! Guests are more than welcome to remain in the Plaza Garden to view the Once Upon a Time castle projection show, which is scheduled for 10:45 on the evening of April 16th.

While researching information about charging electric scooters in Walt Disney World Theme Parks, I came across my Moms Panel friend Amy's response to a guest asking a similar question. She not only has suggestions for how to conserve your ECV battery life, but also found some great articles with helpful information about using a scooter at Walt Disney World! I hope this is helpful in your vacation planning.

Thanks for stopping by - have a magical day! - Diane W.
