Have booked at Wilderness lodge 5 nights. Travleing with a 4 year old princess. Now 2nd guessing and thinking Royal rooms at Riverside. We have never stayed at either property. Like the convenience of boat to MK and walkway to Ft wilderness. Suggestions?

    Hi Julie!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!  Both resorts are wonderful.  In fact Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  However, the Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort period at Walt Disney World.  There is no real comparison.  The Wilderness Lodge is a Disney Deluxe Resort with incredible theming and great restaurants.  The pool area is also outstanding and the lodge is located on Bay Lake, which gives you the opportunity to rent boats and explore both Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon.

I would go with the Wilderness Lodge.  If you do, be sure to make reservations at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  It is a great family restaurant.  I also suggest making a reservation at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue since it is so easy to get to Fort Wilderness from the Wilderness Lodge.

It's a hard decision.  Good luck and write back if you have any more questions!
