Booked Western Caribbean cruise and confused on port times and some of the port adventures in Costa Maya. Ashore time 1030am Onboard 445pm but port excursions quite few list as 6.5-7 hours. How does this work ? Thanks Anita

Hello Anita and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for cruising our way again as you prepare for another Disney Cruise.

I'm so excited about your Western Caribbean voyage on the Disney Fantasy next spring. I love the beautiful beach itineraries and the week-long sailings that the Fantasy typically offers and I'm so happy to hear that you will be taking advantage of them as well!

It sounds like you are seeking some adventure in the beautiful port of Costa Maya, Mexico. I would love to help you out with your question. First, I'd like to point out that while you are using the Disney Cruise Line website to look at a sampling of the Port Adventures listed for Costa Maya, you won't be able to view which Port Adventures will be offered for your specific sailing until the time comes for your advanced booking window to open. As a Castaway Club Member, your advanced booking window will open 90 days in advance of your cruise if you are a silver member, 105 days prior to your sail date if you are a gold-level member, and 120 days before your cruise if you are a platinum castaway club member or are cruising as a concierge guest.

So, while you may be able to get an idea of which Port Adventures the Disney Cruise Line offers at this specific port, you will not be able to see exactly which Port Adventures will be available for your sailing until the designated time. When you book a Port Adventure through the Disney Cruise Line, you can rest assured that all of the details will be taken care of and that your travel to and from the ship for your Port Adventure will be within the allotted time in port.

You may find that when you book a Port Adventure for Costa Maya, you will be scheduled to meet at a designated place onboard before the guests are allowed to disembark the ship for your port. In this case, even though you have not gone ashore yet, your time as part of the scheduled Port Adventure has already begun.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion. Once your booking window is open and if you have a specific Port Adventure that you are hoping to book, but are concerned about the time limitations, please feel free to write back to us. If you share the name of the Port Adventure, we will try to dig a little deeper into the scheduled times. Alternatively, you may reach out to a Guest Service agent via the Live Chat feature on the Disney Cruise Line website or by phone for more assistance.

Anita, did you know that the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app offers a fun countdown to your day of embarkation? I hope you enjoy the planning phase of your vacation and that the anticipation for your dream vacation continues to build.

    Magical memories await!
