Booked week after thanksgiving because it was listed as moderately busy. Worried now w/sneak peak of new fantasyland that parks will be unbearable. Do most people wait for grand opening? is this still a good time to go?

    Hi Amanda!

This is a great question and one I can only guess at the answer to.  I've been to a lot of soft openings at Walt Disney World, and while yes, it does get more crowded, it's usually isolated to whatever is opening.  Since there will be sneak peaks and soft openings for the new Fantasyland, I would say that you will see most of the crowd at Magic Kingdom and mostly in the new area.  In my experience with these types of events, media and super fans come just to see the new attractions and then leave for home.  Most guests do wait for the official grand opening as well because not everyone is invited to the sneak peaks.  I'd say you are still coming at a fantastic time to avoid crowds AND you will be there to see all of the holiday decorations around Walt Disney World!

    Have a magical day!
