We booked a WDW trip for Jan. 7-13 2009 - which I found out is right at the time of the Marathon Weekend. I am now worried that we are going to encounter crowds at the parks and trouble booking our dining plan reservations. Do you think we need to worry?

    Hi Laurie,

The marathon weekend is typically a less crowded time in WDW.  However, with the overall popularity of table service restaurants, you need to make advanced reservations anytime of the year.

I was at WDW during the same week in 2007 and we are going again in 2009.  I find it to be a very enjoyable time of the year.  I strongly recommend that you reservations for any sit down restaurants as soon as possible.  If you go without reservations you may find that you don't get your first choice of establishments and you may have to eat earlier or later than you would like.

    Have a great trip

I have been fortunate enough to be on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel since 2008.  As a Disney World enthusiast, I can’t imagine a greater opportunity.  My husband, our 6-year-old daughter, and I visit WDW a few times a year.
