Natalie from United Kingdom Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi there, we have booked a wdw package for Orlando in 2026, hotel &park tickets through Disney world travel company from the Uk, I am just wanting to clarify cancellation policy as different info online, hopefully This won’t be required!

Hi Natalie and welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to see that you'll be heading to "The Most Magical Place on Earth," next October. I actually just returned home from a quick, 4-night stay with some of my planDisney besties and had the most amazing time. We always like to try something new during each and every visit and l can confirm that The Beak & Barrel at Magic Kingdom and GEO-82 at EPCOT, were both highlights, this time.

October is one of my favourite months to visit. The weather is usually lovely and warm but, not as hot as during the summer, crowds are generally manageable and last but by no means least, because Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be taking place. Honestly, there is no better way to celebrate Halloween - my 8-year old daughter declared it was the best place to trick-or-treat, ever!

Being from the UK, I, like you, always book our holidays to Walt Disney World at least a year in advance. I really like this as not only does it give us something to look forward to (I mean, who doesn't love having a brand-new Disney trip to count down the days to?), it also allows lots of time for researching and planning our visit. I personally enjoy planning our trips almost as much as the trips themselves. The Walt Disney World website, My Disney Experience mobile app, Disney Parks Blog and our very own planDisney Video Library are all fantastic resources.

Going back to your question, the cancellation policy does differ depending on several things such as the number of days it is before your scheduled departure date and the circumstances leading to the cancellation. It is also possible to amend an existing booking, rather than cancel it altogether, if this is an option (amendment fees may apply).

You can download the full Booking Terms and Conditions (valid after 13 October 2025) as a PDF, directly from the Walt Disney Travel Company's website which details the cancellation policy for each situation.

If you would like to clarify this, I would highly recommend contacting the Walt Disney Travel Company's Disney Experts on freephone on 0800 169 0730. They are available 7 days a week during the following hours:-

    Monday - Friday 9am-8pm
    Saturday 9am-7pm
    Sunday 10am-6pm

You can also send them an email to: disneytraveluk@disneyonline.com.

I hope that this information has been of use, Natalie. Please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney, if we can be of any further help with the planning of your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. You can even ask me a question directly if you would like a UK perspective on anything at all.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
