Hi, Dawn! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so sorry that your son has to manage this horrible disease. Luckily, Walt Disney World Resort has long been a frontrunner in offering services to ensure that they are an inclusive family vacation destination. Recently, Walt Disney World Resort modified its
Disability Access Service yet continue to offer it as an alternative to Guests who require it, while controlling its unfortunate abuse. With this service, you would receive a card, like you have in the past, with a return time based on attraction wait times. As Cast Members must assess each Guest on a case by case basis, you will have to visit
Guest Relations to determine if your son currently qualifies for the Disability Access Service.
Also, I suggest contacting Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days before your arrival in order to help you navigate and plan meals that fit into your son’s lifestyle. Also, remember that you can make
Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days in advance and add
special dietary requests!
I hope this answers your question and that you have a magical vacation!
Jen
