Hi, Karen! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question.
When you book your Walt Disney World Resort vacation through a third party such as a Travel Agent, you must make your payments through your agent. I can understand not wanting to contact your Travel Agent each time you wish to pay towards your trip. If you booked a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package, after your $200 down payment, the remainder of your balance does not need to be paid until 30 days before your arrival date. You could set up a separate savings account and allocate funds into that account on a schedule that works for you - weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or whenever you want to transfer money over. I have my weekly payroll set up for direct deposit at my financial institution with a set dollar amount going each week into a separate vacation account that helps me budget and plan. Then you can make one large payment when the time is ready with the funds you have saved. You can also pay for your vacation using
Disney Gift Cards, which are for sale online and at most major retailers. I have been known to pick up a $25 gift card here and there anytime I needed to run to the store. You can then give your travel agent those to apply towards your trips once you have purchased a few. I have also saved some to give to my children for their own spending money to help them budget what they are spending on souvenirs and goodies while they
shop Walt Disney World. Using gift cards not only helps me keep track, so one child isn't spending more than the other; the kids also think it is so cool to have their own payment method! You can also
manage your Disney Gift Cards online to check balances, combine gift cards carrying smaller dollar amounts into one, or transfer funds from a lost gift card onto another card.
Have a magical day, Karen!
