Hi Stephen!
This summer you will be in
Walt Disney World in sight of Cinderella Castle ready to plummet down mountains, spin in tea cups, and enjoy Dole Whips!
We've never had a friend like Genie before!
Disney Genie+ is a new system that allows you to cut the amount of park time you spend waiting in line, so you have more time for zipping and dipping on roller coasters and encountering favorite characters. With this ticket add-on, you have Lightning Lane access to attractions, one at a time, throughout the day. For example, if you have a 9:30 am entry to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, as soon as you tap into the wildest ride in the wilderness, you can select your next Genie+ access. On a recent trip to the
Magic Kingdom, I was able to grab a half dozen Lightning Lane Genie+ passes, and then park hop to
Epcot and snag another one.
Stephen, you are correct- highly popular attractions offer individual Lightning Lane selections for purchase and are not available with Genie+. The cost varies by ride and date, but currently the prices typically range from $7.00-$15.00 per person. You are limited to two per day and each park has two rides that fall into this category. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Avatar Flight of Passage, Frozen Ever After, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad, Expedition Everest, and Space Mountain all offer individual Lightning Lane selections. Check out the
Lightning Lane page for a list by park of which attractions are available with Genie+ and which ones have the individual Lightning Lane selection option.
Wishing you a wonderful visit across the pond to see Mickey!
