Hi, we booked a vacation and reserved our parks for the week of Thanksgiving. Now my mother is going to with us as well. Getting her added to the room and most parks was no problem, except for Hollywood Studios. Is there anyway to add someone to that?

It's great to see you here today at planDisney, Christy! I'm so excited to hear that you have a trip planned at the end of next month to celebrate Thanksgiving with your family. I'll be there right around the same time as you, and I know that I'm really looking forward to seeing that extra layer of pixie dust that gets sprinkled right around the holiday season. Thanksgiving week is one of the most popular weeks of the year for guests to visit Walt Disney World Resort and planning in advance is really important, so I'm happy to help you get your ducks in a row for your upcoming trip!

Christy, when I check the availability calendar for Disney Park Pass, it looks like Disney's Hollywood Studios has reached capacity for the week that you're there and it won't be possible at the moment to add your mother to your reservation for that Theme Park. Don't fret just yet, because it might still work out before you leave for your trip. Disney Park Pass reservations are flexible and can be canceled or modified without penalty, so guests are frequently changing their plans. If someone drops their reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios, it may be possible for you to pick it up so I recommend visiting your My Disney Experience account as frequently as you're willing to and check to see if you can add your mother to your reservation.

If you're not able to get a reservation for her, this would be a great opportunity for your mom to take in some "me time" relaxing by the pool at your Resort Hotel, enjoy a beautiful meal at a signature restaurant, or get some Christmas shopping done at Disney Springs. Your Disney Park Pass reservation does allow for you to leave and re-enter the same Theme Park during the day, so you can also leave Disney's Hollywood Studios for a while to meet up with her for one of my Disney must-dos: the mid-afternoon break!

    Have a magical day, Christy!
