Just booked our vacation for 5/2013 through RCI, will be staying 1wk at OKW and 1wk at SSR&S, was wondering where the best place would be to purchase park tickets..on-line vs at the resort? Also, will the tickets be on our room keys? Thanks!

    Hi Christi,

Wow!  Two weeks at Walt Disney World?  You are in for a real treat!

The type of theme park tickets you purchase and, consequently, where you buy them depends on your plans for your two weeks at Walt Disney World.  If you hope to have unlimited access to the theme parks during your entire fourteen day stay, then I highly recommend that you consider purchasing an annual pass for each member of your travel party.  As a general rule of thumb, if you plan to spend more than ten days in the Disney theme parks in any twelve month period, it is a good financial strategy to purchase an annual pass.  In addition to have unlimited access to the Disney theme parks, annual pass holders enjoy discounts on merchandise at many locations on Disney property.  Definitely consider this option.  If you purchase an annual pass (either on line or at a Walt Disney World ticket booth), your theme park tickets would not be combined with your Key to the World card (room key).

If, instead, you plan to spend fewer days in the theme parks during your two week vacation, then look at the prices on ten day tickets.  You can choose whether or not to include the park hopper option. If you are a AAA member, buy your tickets there before you depart for your journey as they do offer member discounts.

If you wait to purchase your tickets when you arrive at Walt Disney World, your theme park tickets can be added to your Key to the World cards.  While you will likely not receive a discount on the purchase of your park passes, this is a convenient option.
