Hi Kayleen! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm excited to hear you are considering a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort! There is nothing quite like planning for a magical Disney vacation!
When booking a vacation package that includes your theme park tickets, you'll need to decide whether you want to add the park hopper on to your stay. If you decide not to, you'll be able to visit one park each day on your visit. You can add it on at any point leading up to your stay and even up until the last day of your visit. Unfortunately, there is no way to only add the
Park Hopper Option only for a single day of your stay. Even if you add it on the last day, it will charge the full amount as if you added it from the beginning.
Your best option will be to decide before you arrive. This way you can plan appropriately for your stay and get the best value for your ticket purchase. I enjoy having the Park Hopper Option because it creates flexibility during my stay. If my family wants a change of scenery or we want to sneak back to the Magic Kingdom at night for the firework display, we have the option to do so. I also find incredible value in just being able to visit one park per day. It allows you to fully focus on the park you are at without the distraction of wondering when you are going to hop to the next.
If you plan on visiting soon, there are plenty of new experiences to check out.
TRON Lightcycle / Run recently debuted at the Magic Kingdom and is the perfect ride for any thrill seekers in your group. Happily Ever After made its return to the nighttime sky over Cinderella Castle a few months back as well. If you love this show or are set to see it for the first time, you are in for a treat!
Kayleen, I hope you have a magical time planning for your upcoming vacation!
