Thank you for visiting us again with a great question. I am so happy to hear that you will soon be making new memories at the Walt Disney World Resort with your family!

MagicBands unlock so much magic, I just love them! They are some of my favorite souvenirs from Disney vacations, and although I always purchase a new one with every visit, my Princess Tiana MagicBand purchased in 2017 will forever be my most treasured. While they are supposed to last for about 2 years, I have seen friends use their MagicBands for a little longer than that. You can always bring the ones you have at home and purchase new MagicBands upon arrival if you are unable to use them. Since you will be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you are also welcome to purchase MagicBands at pre-arrival prices by signing in to My Disney Experience and visiting My MagicBands and Cards.

Renee, I am happy to share that Guests are now able to use Disney MagicMobile service, which is a contactless new option for entering theme parks and more! This magical technology is currently available for iPhone and Apple Watch (coming soon to other smart devices) and is offered in addition to MagicBands. You may use Disney MagicMobile service, a MagicBand, or a card interchangeably! This means that if your MagicBands do not work at park entrance, you can always use your iPhone or Apple Watch to enter the theme parks. In case you decide not to use MagicBands or Disney MagicMobile, you are welcome to stop by Front Desk at your Disney Resort hotel and request a Key to the World card.
