Hi Suzanne,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting to have booked a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
If you booked a room that will accommodate the additional adult guest, then it should be possible to modify that reservation. So, double-check the capacity of your room. The capacity of the room may also depend on the ages of the children traveling with you. I always caution parents with infants to remember that it's often harder for the little ones to go to sleep when other people are in the room, there is a lot of activity, and there is no separate place for the little ones to rest. If you have booked a family suite at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, your room would have the capacity to accommodate up to six adult Guests.
If you have not done so yet, be sure to
link that vacation package in your
My Disney Experience account. Once linked, you can make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. So, if you have already made those park pass reservations or you make them before adding the additional Guest, do not forget to check the
theme park availability calendar and make park pass reservations for that Guest if you are able to add them to your vacation package reservation.
Be sure to also review the
dining reservation window information and prepare to make
advanced dining reservations prior to your visit. We just returned from a visit in late July and we loved having dining reservations to give us an air-conditioned break from the summer heat.
Suzanne, if you do need to add an additional Guest and your current resort hotel room cannot accommodate that extra person, check other
Disney Resorts Collection hotels to see which ones might have availability during the dates of your visit. You could potentially modify that reservation and change the resort hotel.
Happy Planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
