Hi there, Lynette! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for coming to us with your question.
First of all: a holly jolly hurray! You’ve booked your Walt Disney World Resort vacation during the extra-magical holiday season. I can’t wait for you to experience the theme parks and resorts during Christmastime – Disney takes “Deck the Halls” to a brand-new level, and it is spectacular.
My family recently added the Disney Dining Plan to our vacation, and we absolutely loved it. Paying for dining in advance meant that we didn’t have to do any menu math, and we could just sit back, order whatever looked good, and enjoy our meals together. The 2018 Disney Dining Plan has added enhanced beverage options, which meant that my kids could order smoothies and specialty lemonades, and my husband and I certainly enjoyed adding cocktails to our mealtimes (because everything tastes better with an umbrella in it, right?).
Lynette, because you’ve already booked your vacation, and because pricing and availability can vary, you’ll need to contact Walt Disney World Resort reservations at (407) 939-5277 to ask about the Disney Dining Plan. If your current reservation is room-only, you will need to convert it to a Magic Your Way vacation package including theme park tickets (in most cases) in order to add a dining plan. The Cast Members on the phone can help you determine the prices you’ll be looking at to modify your existing reservation and add the Disney Dining Plan, and they can provide information about the
Disney Dining Plan options so you can determine which one is right for your vacation.
Enjoy your winter visit to Walt Disney World, Lynette, and enjoy every minute of your jolly holiday with Mickey!
Wishing you a magical and merry vacation,
Robyn
