    Hi Hillary!

The first part of your vacation will be at a time when the parks are crowded. New Year's Eve and New Year's Day will be very busy.  The best advice I can give is a recommendation to visit the independent website  That is the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowd levels on specific days. They also recommend what parks to visit on which days and which to avoid.  More importantly, however, are their touring plans which are step by step instructions on how to experience the parks while minimizing your wait in lines. Their recommendations are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.

You also need Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) to enjoy the Table Service restaurants throughout the parks and resorts. ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  They can be made 180 days on advance and will go quickly for the holiday period.

The other advice is to spend some time exploring the resorts. They will all be decorated for the holidays. My favorite are the Grand Floridian, the Wilderness Lodge, and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
