I have booked our vac for 03/12 & I am trying to book Dinner Reservations. Should I try to eat in the park we are visiting that day? How hard is it to travel between parks/resorts? What is the best time for dinner with a 3/8 yr old? 4:30 seems early

    Hi Daniel,

I would definitely recommend that you try to make your dining reservations at the park you will be visiting each day or at a nearby Resort hotel in order to minimise the amount of time that you will spend travelling around.

It is fairly straight forward to travel between parks and Resort hotels using Disney's complimentary transportation system. I would however recommend that you familiarise yourself with the transportation options available before you arrive at Walt Disney World.

There is a great transportation wizard tool which I like to use available at www.ourlaughingplace.com. It allows you to enter where you will be travelling to and from within Walt Disney World and then provides details on the best route(s) to take as well as giving an indication of the amount of time that the journey will take. I would add an extra 20 minutes onto each estimated time to allow for the time which may be spent waiting for your designated mode of transport to arrive.

I would advise that you try to make your dining reservations for dinner for around the time that you would normally eat at home so that you don't disturb your childrens routine too much.

Dining reservations can be made up to 180 days prior to your trip online HERE or by calling (407) 939-3463. Some dining experiences such as Character dining are extremely popular and so I would recommend that you make your dining reservations at your earliest possible opportunity to avoid disappointment.

I hope that this information has been of help and wish you a magical trip!
