Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, James. I'm so glad you stopped by! I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing some difficulty sorting out your Disney Resort hotel reservations. Let's see if we can figure it out!
In most instances,
My Disney Experience is a super helpful planning tool. But every once in a while, I experience a glitch that makes it less than super helpful... I completely understand wanting to avoid a problem at check-in! Let's start by making sure your wife is connected to your My Disney Experience account. Is she listed on your Family & Friends list? If she's not, start by logging in to your My Disney Experience account. Hover over the My Disney Experience tab on the Walt Disney World Resort website and select 'My Family & Friends' from the drop-down menu that appears. You should see your dad and your daughter listed there. To add your wife, scroll down and click on the blue 'Add a Guest' link. Once you add her information, she'll receive an invitation through email that she'll need to accept. When she accepts, she'll be on your Family & Friends list and you can assign her to the correct room reservation.
If that doesn't work, not to worry! I understand there's a huge accessibility issue with calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line. I recommend first trying the online chat feature on the homepage of the Walt Disney World Resort website. I once had an issue with My Disney Experience and a Cast Member from the Online Chat Team was able to manually access my account by sending me a secure form. Once I completed the online form, they were able to fix the problem for me in just a minute or two! Another option is to
email the Help Center. I haven't tried this service before, so I can't tell you how long it may take to get a response, or a fix, for that matter. Lastly,
Disability Services may be able to assist you. Emailing the Disability Services Team at disability.services@disneyparks.com usually yields a quick response! A friendly Cast Member there should be able to direct your issue to the appropriate department, through email, so you can have the problem resolved before your check-in date.
Did you that there are services available at the Walt Disney World Resort to help Guests with hearing disabilities? I encourage you to check out the
Services for Guests with Hearing Disabilities page for more information. There may be something listed there that makes your visit more accessible!
I hope this was helpful, James. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
Ashley
