Hello. I booked two joint rooms (one for my family and one for my parents). I will be arriving a few hours before and paying for everything. Will it be possible to check into both rooms when i arrive. Or will my parents have to check in themselves? Thanks.

    Iveth:

In my experience with checking into multiple rooms, it is best to be listed personally on every room and at the very least have your reservation numbers linked on your MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE account at www.disneyworld.com.

The fact that Disney does not guarantee connecting rooms can put you in a pickle. Even though your MagicBands will arrive in advance, if you don't get connecting rooms, your parents bands won't open the room next door and a cautious cast member at check-in might be reluctant to give you their room number if your reservations are not linked or you are not listed.

I put myself on my parent's room last fall, and I was given a MagicBand for their room. I made sure to customize the color of the band in advance via the MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE account so I would know which band opened which room. It came in handy several times when we got separated during the trip and when my father lost his band but needed to get back to his room immediately. In my book, an ounce of prevention was worth the pound of cure.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
