I have booked my trip for over a year from now and it should fall under the Disney not so Scary Halloween. How and when will i know if I have to purchase separate tickets for this event?

Hello Jessica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I commend your advanced planning for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. As you know, planning this far in advance means that many of the schedules and details for Special Events have not yet been released.

My family just returned from a Walt Disney World Resort vacation that included Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Last year, the dates for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party were released on the Disney Parks Blog in March 2017 and became available to purchase form the Walt Disney World Resort site in May.

While historically, these dates have been consistent for the past few years as far as the release of information and Special Event tickets going on sale, there is no guarantee that these dates will be the same next year. I recommend you check on the Disney Parks Blog in March 2018 for information on dates and when you can expect to be able to purchase tickets, if you like.

I tend to tentatively plan my Walt Disney World Resort vacations in advance and then alter my days after any changes to schedules for Special Events, Extra Magic Hours and Theme Park Hours.

    Happy Planning!
