We just booked a trip and are wondering if we should purchase a dining plan. We are a family of three with a 2 year old. We want to have at least one meal with characters and will probably eat in the parks for lunch and snacks...any suggestions?

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Kelley!  Isn't it a great feeling to book a Walt Disney World Resort vacation?  Ahh - I love that feeling.

The Disney Dining Plan is really a great option but it depends on how much your family likes to eat.  It includes one Quick-Service meal, one Snack and one Table-Service Meal per person, per night.  It is available for everyone in your party ages 3 and over - so your little one can eat off your plate at no charge.

I'm hearing that you want to experience the Character Dining - which is a great idea for your little Nemo.  There are many Character Dining Experiences and you can read more about them HERE.  Character Dining is a great way to introduce Disney's Characters to your little one without waiting in lines in the Theme Parks.  It is also a great time to introduce Disney food to your little one. Character Meals make great photo ops and the Characters will sign your autograph books.

Many of the Table-Service restaurants are very popular and book quickly.  Please be sure to make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE or online

    Have a magical day!
