We just booked a trip for the week after Christmas and made our park reservations. What are the chances of getting a reservation at Chef Mickey's? I am not having much luck finding ADRs for any of the character dining (Cinderella or Be our Guest).

Hi, Kelly! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

The week between Christmas and New Year's is one of the most popular times for families to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, with good reason! The Walt Disney World Resort will be in full holiday mode with many holiday festivities waiting for you. My best advice is to keep checking for that Chef Mickey's Advanced Dining Reservation as well as openings for Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella's Royal Table. As other parties change their plans, new reservations may become available in time for your visit. You can also always check with the restaurant on the same day, but there is never a guarantee.

Please note that Cinderella's Royal Table is not currently a character dining location. However, some of your favorite Disney friends are planned to be back at Chef Mickey's starting December 16th to welcome guests for a family-style breakfast daily from 7:00 a.m. until noon. If you can't get into these locations, I have found an often overlooked dining gem is Teppan Edo at Epcot. This restaurant offers dinner with a show as your meal is prepared right in front of your eyes by your very own highly-skilled hibachi chef. My boys have enjoyed eating here year after year for over a decade, and they still ask to visit! There are also many top-notch restaurants located at Disney Springs. I highly recommend The BOATHOUSE. Even though it is mainly a seafood restaurant, I had the best steak of my life here.

    Have a magical day, Kelly!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
