    Hi there! We have booked a trip in WDW for two weeks over the holidays in December 2018. I was wondering if there is anything special going on for New Years Eve outside of the parks. I'm not sure that we are willing to brave the crowds at the parks!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are going to have an amazing vacation at Walt Disney World Resort celebrating the holidays! I absolutely love all of the decorations in the Disney Resort hotels and theme parks and the special celebrations throughout the resort. Generally, there are many different New Year's Eve celebrations throughout Walt Disney World Resort for Guests to enjoy without going into the theme parks. Last year, there were several different restaurants and Disney Resort hotels offering special New Year's Eve celebrations, from a New Orleans dinner at Disney's Contemporary Resort to a BBQ at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Plus, there were special New Year's Eve activities at Disney Springs!

    Currently, this year's New Year's Eve celebrations have not yet been announced, but I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about this year's special activities. I would expect detailed information will be announced this fall about New Year's Eve activities. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
