Hi Moms! I have booked a trip to WDW in October for DH, DD7 and DS who will turn 12 while we are there. We are thinking of doing the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween but we don't know much about it. Will my 12 yr old boy enjoy this? Thanks!

    Hi Lori,

Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party is our favorite party at WDW.  I just asked my son (14) why he likes it so much, and these are his thoughts:

"I like the Sleepy Hollow story at the beginning of the parade then the Headless Horseman who rides by.  The gravediggers with their shovels that spark on the ground are AWESOME! I like candy, too, and I don't feel too old to trick/treat at WDW.  The lines for the rides are also short  I like looking at all the neat costumes, too.  And oh yeah, like it says, it isn't very scary."  I'd throw in my thoughts that it is an incredible opportunity to meet characters (we've seen all 7 dwarfs together) and even have photos with Cinderella's glass carriage; the fireworks are even more amazing.

Hopefully the wisdom of my teen helps!  If you'd like more information, click here and also search Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party at www.allearsnet.com for reviews from past parties and many pictures.  Youtube also has some video clips of the party and parade (called the Boo to You parade).
