I booked our trip and when we are visiting, some of the magic hours are in the evening. Is it worth it to go then or not? I feel like the non resort guests will still be in line after the park closes therefore making the wait times just as long as normal.

    Hello Stacy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question! Extra Magic Hours are a great benefit that only Disney Resort hotel Guests can take advantage of, and I must tell you that I love touring the theme parks during those special and exclusive hours.

On my last visit to the Walt Disney World Resort I enjoyed both early morning and evening Extra Magic Hours , and I felt that it was better to tour in the morning because only Disney Resort hotel Guests are allowed to enter the park. In the morning you only get one hour and in the evening sometimes you can enjoy two hours of extra magic, but last July I stayed at Magic Kingdom Park for evening Extra Magic Hours from 10:00 p.m. to midnight, and noticed that there were indeed regular Guests still waiting in line at certain attractions. After the first hour went by the wait times got better. If you are trying to ride very popular rides with little wait times then I suggest early morning Extra Magic Hours, because even after other Guests are allowed in, early mornings are still the best time to be at the theme parks, in my opinion.

Stacey, thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a magical visit to the place where dreams come true.

    See ya real soon!
