just booked our trip two weeks ago didnt know you had to book dinner reservations SOOO far in advance! NOW what am i going to do i cant find any openings for character dining while we are there? Do you have to have reservation?

    Hello Erica,

Wishes can and do come true at Disney World, so you never know. Depending on when you're visiting and how many people are in your party, it is possible to walk up to a restaurant and get a table.

If I had a magic wand, I would help book you reservations for the wildly popular dining destinations at which you're looking. But since I'll leave that for the Fairy Godmother, I have a few other suggestions:
    • Check in every so often with Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE to see if any openings may have popped up. Often times, Guests may have changed their minds and that leaves an experience waiting to be enjoyed for other families like you!
    • Consider dining at non-peak times. Meals at noon and at 6 p.m. tend to fill quickly. How about a later lunch in the afternoon like 3 p.m.? Or an earlier dinner?
    • I often have luck booking character meals at the Resorts like 1900 Park Fare or Cape May Cafe. Have you tried there?
    • If that doesn't work, when you arrive on property, also check in with your Resort Concierge. They can peek into the system to see if any last minute changes translates to Pixie Dust for your family!
I hope this helps! Good luck!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
