Hey Howdy Hey Juanita Rose and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for stopping by with your question about your booked vacation package. I will be happy to give you a little more insight into what to expect.
The
cancelation policy by the Walt Disney Travel Company is pretty flexible when it comes to vacation packages to Walt Disney World Resort. In most cases, to put a down payment on a reservation, you must have a $200.00 deposit for vacation packages made greater than 30 days before the date of arrival. This deposit will secure your vacation package until your final payment is due 30 days before your date of arrival. Any cancelation made before your final payment is due will receive a full refund.
If you are to cancel your vacation package from day 2-29 from your date of arrival, you will have a cancelation fee of $200.00 but will be refunded the rest of your trip less any third-party cancelation fees. Any cancelations 1 day or less will not get a refund at all. I would recommend that if you are thinking you may need to cancel your vacation, you do so before your final payment is due for a full refund. Keep in mind that all prices listed for deposits and fees are subject to change without notice.
Considering you did book your vacation with a travel agent, I would reach out to your booking agent and double-check with them on potential cancelation fees they may have which are separate from Disney's. You should be able to make these changes to your plans as well through them and you should get your refund through the same means you paid for your down payment.
I hope you can keep your reservation for later this year as there is so much going on in Walt Disney World to enjoy such as
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival or
Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
