When I booked my trip, I thought that EMH were good - a perk of Disney resorts.  I also booked reservations in restaurants around EMH.  Now I find out from the panel that these EMH should be avoided? What to do? Too late to change restaurants.

Hi Claire! Extra Magic Hours provide additional access to the Parks and are a wonderful perk to staying at a Disney Hotel Resort . Some people prefer to only use the Morning Extra Magic Hours and enjoy getting on the busier attractions prior to Park openings to the crowds, such as Expedition Everest and Toy Story Midway Mania. They do not use Evening Extra Magic Hours in efforts to avoid huge crowds during certain times of the year. It is true that many people plan to visit the Park offering Evening Extra Magic Hours to get up to four additional hours in the Park and this can drive crowds up. Yet, others prefer to use the Evening Extra Magic Hours and either arrive at the Parks early, leave midday for some R&R, and return late afternoon/early evening for more fun OR arrive at the Parks in the afternoon as crowds thin.

My family loves Evening Extra Magic Hours! We enjoy leaving midday for "Disney Hotel Resort time" and returning refreshed for more Park time. We also enjoy arriving to the Parks after lunch and having the extra time to visit our "must do" attractions. We save the attractions that will be open during Evening Extra Magic Hours until that time and avoid the potentially heavier crowds. It is nice to be able to stay and close down the Park. LOL!

I believe that you will enjoy Extra Magic Hours, either Morning and Evening, and find them to make your visit all the more enjoyable. Have a Magical Vacation!
