Hi! We have booked our trip for this thanksgiving (11/26-12/1), and am wondering if you recommend prebooking reservations for all our meals? We have the DDP and will reserve for Chef Mickeys and other character events, but what about just meals? thanks!

    Hi Karen,

I have a hard time deciding what I want to have for dinner tonight, so planning my dining reservations 90 days in advance can seem a little crazy.  However, I highly recommend making reservations to any table service restaurants at Disney World, especially since you are going over Thanksgiving weekend.  Sitting down to a nice meal will give your family a chance to escape from the crowds at the parks and relax for a few moments.

The parks will be very crowded that weekend, and I think you will have a difficult (if not impossible) time simply walking up to a table service restaurant and asking to be seated.  Your dining plan allows you a table service meal for every night of your stay.  You'll want to make reservations for five table service meals to take full advantage of this plan.

Although the parks will be crowded, this is a wonderful time to be at Disney World.  Park hours are extended, and all of Walt Disney World is decked out for the holiday season!

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
