We booked our trip in Sept. w/ reg. dining and are hoping free dining is announced so we can upgrade to deluxe. When our window opens to make reservations for dining, can we make multiple table service reservations for each day in hope of free dining?

    Emily:

I love hearing from a fellow planner--especially one that enjoys planning their dining at Disney!

I like your strategy: making your table service reservations with hopes of upgrading to the Deluxe Dining Plan. Since there is no penalty to cancel your reservations as long as you do it 48 hours in advance at most places, why not? Disney only requires a credit card to reserve most restaurants and doesn't charge the card unless you don't show. The only caveat would be if you wanted to make reservations for one of the dinner shows like the Spirit of Aloha, Hoop Dee Doo Revue or Mickey's Backyard BBQ where you'll have to pay in advance. However, you'll still be able to get a refund if you cancel within their required notice.

As long as you're not trying to make multiple table service reservations during the same time window (the online system won't let you), you should have no trouble making your reservations. If you have any questions about Disney's table service restaurants, feel free to come back and ask!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
